Yeast Genome Mapped!
I just read a Yahoo! news story that the yeast genome has been mapped. They say it could lead to better beer. There are so many different strains available, I wonder if this will show how much actual variation there is among the different strains. I mean is the Munich lager that much different from the Bavarian lager, for example? You can read the (short) story here.
